In September 2012 the Curbex environmental committee embarked on its initiative with a clear mandate – to insist on best practices that minimize the environmental footprint of the Curbex group of companies in all aspects of our operations. With the ongoing commitment of our management and staff, our Green Media Initiative has yielded impressive results. Curbex is a proud leader in Green Media best practices.
25 YEAR LIFECYCLE – RE-USEABLE SIGNAGE PRODUCTS
Setting a new standard in our industry, Curbex was the first to introduce portable rental sign products that are manufactured using aluminum and composite plastic materials that are rated for a 25 year lifecycle. All components of Curbex signs are 100% re-useable and 100% recyclable.

100% of the print media used in the display of Curbex signs. Expired advertisements are removed from the sign boards and the material is stacked on skids for bulk recycling.
GREEN MEDIA-TRUCK FLEET
With environmental footprint in mind, during 2013-2014, Curbex invested in excess of $750,000 in acquiring a fleet of eco-responsible 4 cylinder diesel Fuso F125 trucks. These vehicles incorporate the latest in DEF emissions reduction technology, that result in significant reduction in fuel emissions.
REDUCED VEHICLE IDLE TIME
One of the unexpected positive results of the Curbex method of operations is a reduction in delivery-vehicle idle time. Curbex print advertisements are prepared in-house. When making sign changes, Curbex installers spend only minutes on location to insert the new ads into the sign frames. Competitors using the reader board signs are known to spend up to 45 minutes on-site removing and replacing letters. In winter months, vehicles are left idling. For sign rental operators that handle hundreds of signs – the idle time each month and thus the fuel emissions is significant.
